Employing a ROM-based Frequency Meter for Precise Tracking of Line Frequency

Abstract

In this paper, a new simple method for accurate measurement of line frequencies is proposed. The method is based on storing the line frequencies to be measured in read-only memory ROM. For comparison, three alternative measurement methods are illustrated

Biography:

Mahmoud Abaza is an associate professor at Athabasca University. Dr. Abaza has graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee 1992, and worked since then in different universities. Dr. Abaza has been with Jordan University of Science and Technology, United Arab Emirates University and Athabasca University. Embedded Systems is one of Dr. Abaza’s research interests, as well as Distributed Systems, Algorithms and Computer Networks.
