A COMPUTATIONAL METHOD FOR SOLVING OPTIMAL CONTROL OF SINGULAR SYSTEMS USING THE LEGENDRE WAVELETS

Abstract
By the use of elegant operational properties of Legendre wavelets, a direct computational algorithm for evaluation the optimal control and trajectory of linear singular systems with a quadratic cost functional is developed. The state variable, state- rate, and the control vector are expanded in Legendre orthonormal basis with unknown coefficient. The technique is straightforward and very convenient for computer programming. An illustrative example is given to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed method.
