{This paper investigates a novel approach for constructing a family of ISI-free pulses that equal or outperform some recently proposed pulses in terms of ISI performance in the presence of sampling errors. We propose a new family of improved Nyquist filters derived from an ideal staircase frequency characteristic using interpolation with sine functions. The performances of new ISI-free pulses are studied with respect to the ISI error probability. This family provides flexibility in designing an appropriate pulse even after the roll-off factor has been chosen. The results for error probability outperform the 4th degree polynomial pulse for a reasonable number of interpolation intervals. The proposed pulses for were also investigated for OFDM use including DVB systems in order to reduce their sensitivity to frequency offset. The results presented in this paper equal those of recently found pulses in terms of intercarrier interference (ICI) power}, |

{Incubators are of great interest for some newborns, especially if they are weak, low-birth-weight, sick, preterm…Some parameters are to be monitored and their accuracy remains an important matter. Temperature and humidity remain the most important. This work is focused on the control problem of these parameters. The paper presents a model of heat exchange between the newborn and its environment and a robust fuzzy control algorithm. Digital simulation results show that the designed system has good output accuracy for a high dynamic in the input range. A hardware design to host the system and potential practical applications are also presented}, |

{Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) concerns all sectors of electronics and electricity. The difficulty to assimilate all aspects of EMC is linked to the specialization of scientists and professionals, whose competence has generally affirmed, in HF (Telecommunications) or in BF (Electrical engineering and Power Electronics), or still in "digital" (Treatment and Transmission of signals, Industrial and computer engineering). So a good cohabitation of electrical and electronic equipment is ensured by adherence to standards and their application. The objective of this study is to provide access to understanding the phenomena of EMC and the knowledge of constraints and procedures in developing countries and to show the seriousness of problems related to electromagnetic disturbance industrial networks in Lebanon and Syria. To do this, studies on site were carried out to highlight the constraints created by electromagnetic disturbance: the search for sources of disturbances and their characteristics, the study of techniques and strategies to reduce disturbances emitted, research techniques and strategies to protect against disturbances received and test procedures with proposed solutions}, |

{This paper devote with a method of optimization of phase noise used to design a 0.35μm CMOS fully integrated LC voltage controlled oscillator, suitable for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) reader working at 2.4 GHz. This method allowed finding the optimal VCO dimensions which give a best phase noise performance by visualizing the design constraints such as power dissipation, tank amplitude, frequency tuning range and start-up condition graphically. The results phase noise is -126 dBc/Hz at 1MHz offset from a 2.4 GHz carrier. The designed VCO dissipates 5mA from a 2.5V supply voltage}, |

{In this paper, we study the problem of the Space-Time Trellis Codes (STTC) decoding taking account the Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) channel estimation errors. We propose to use the Expectation Maximization (EM) algorithm to solve this problem. Simulation results show that the performance of our iterative decoder using the EM algorithm are very close to those obtained when the channel is perfectly known}, |

{In this paper we treat the case where unbalance is on the level of the power supply, and present a method to compensate this unbalance of the network. This method is based on considering a general three phase voltages of unequal amplitude and arbitrary phase. This voltage system is then composed in two sequences: positive and negative sequence. The zero sequence is assured to be zero. For each sequence, a modulation switching function is determined. The voltage in the dc side is then expressed as a function of two sequences voltage, and the related switching. In the above DC voltage expression, there are terms that generate harmonics, we make choice that the sum of harmonic terms equals zero. A global switching function is then determined}, |

| ABSTRACT= |
{Conventional space vector pulsewidth modulation (CSVPWM) employs conventional switching sequence (0127-7210), which divides the zero vector time equally between the two zero states in every subcycle. To modulate the required voltage vector it needs magnitude and angle and hence complexity involved in conventional SVPWM algorithm is more. In the proposed hybrid pulsewidth modulation (HPWM) algorithm, the effective time is determined using the concept of imaginary times in order to avoid the requirement of angle and sector identification. The proposed HPWM algorithm is developed based on the notion of stator flux ripple, which can be used for a measure of ripple in line current. Expressions for RMS ripple, over a subcycle are derived for each switching sequence in terms of reference voltage vector, imaginary switching times. The proposed HPWM algorithm is developed using RMS flux ripple characteristics which are graphically illustrated. The proposed algorithm results in reduced harmonic distortion at all modulation indices. To validate the proposed method, simulation has been carried out on vector controlled induction motor drive using MATLAB/SIMULINK and the results are presented and compared}, |
