Abstract:

TThis paper deals with a robust control strategy of a non-linear bioprocess. The main objective is to maintain the regulation of output variables in spite of disturbances and variation of operating points. A systematic approach is first proposed to approximate the non-linear model by a set of disturbed linear models. Robust ∞ H controllers are then scheduled on every linear model under a quadratic stability constraint. The performances of the proposed approach are finally illustrated by means of simulation results using Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) concepts and convex programming tools.

Keywords: control, gain scheduling, LMI, bioprocess.
