Abstract:

Data mining is the nontrivial process of identifying valid novel, potentially useful and ultimately understandable patterns of interest in data. In the health field, data mining applications have been growing quickly and globally as it can be used to directly derive patterns, which are relevant to forecast the behavior of the patients. To the best of our knowledge data mining techniques have not been used till now to analyze the cervical cancer patients. Hence, in this paper we have made an attempt to identify patterns from the database of the cervical cancer patients using data Mining Server (DMS). The data base used for this study is collected from one of the known cancer centre in Tamilnadu, India.

Keywords: Data Mining, Cervical Cancer, patterns, Knowledge Discovery, SD Algorithm.
