Decision Support System for Computer Buyers Using Bayesian’s Technique Ali Selamat and Tan Li Kim

Malaysia, 81300 UTM Skudai, Johor, Malaysia. There are variety of computer brands such as DELL, IBM,HP, COMPAQ and etcetera in the market where each the brands posses their own features. Therefore, computer buyers have to think about the price, quality, performance and requirement of the computer when they want purchase a computer. The purpose of this project producing a web-based decision support system to help the computer buyer in making decision before they purchase a computer. Bayesian’s technique is using this decision support system to generate decision which the computer list based on user’s requirements. The results that created by Bayesian may measured showing the components’ list of a computer which refer the user’s requirement. Bayesian is chosen in this project because of her effectiveness calculation although inputs always change. The effectiveness of this system can be showed by observing the output of the system where the proposed computer package for user is exactly meet the user’s requirements such as price, type of usage and environment.
