Application of the Optimization Technique of Maintenance to a Moroccan Company B. HERROU1, B. ELKIHEL2, M. ELGHORBA3, A.CHFII4 Abstract: This paper deals with the problem of optimization of the maintenance function. It aims at examining the various components of manufacturing process (5M: Matter, machine, method, middle, manpower) while searching for the M or the Ms which cause financial losses in the budget. It allows us afterwards to look for the most deficient components of M identified at the beginning. Then it consists in identifying the elementary elements which affect the normal operation of process. The method suggested aims at focusing on the efforts on the minority of the elements which cause the majority of maintenance production and quality harmful effects. It rests primarily on powerful techniques while walking by a cascade based on an operational logic which enables it to give its fruits. This method is concerned only in essence. It is articulated around a process approach but goes down via the cascade to the most elementary component which composes it. It not only consists of identifying the anomalies and the dysfunctions of the process but goes all the way up to their causes of origin, and then suggests suitable corrective actions. The proposed method is similar to the method the maintenance based on reliability. But they used different tools. It permits to determine the actions of the plan maintenance that are important. It permits to optimize the gait of plan maintenance obtaining thus. Finally, to prove the importance of the studied method, it is necessary to implement it for the benefit of Moroccan small and middle enterprises. Keywords: process, maintenance, optimization, cascade
