Qualitative Spatial Image Data Hiding for Secure Data Transmission Computers Engineering & Systems Dept., Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, Egypt
This paper investigates a schema for embedding data within JPEG image in the spatial domain based on statistical analysis method based on statistical analysis method. The proposed “Improving Visual and Statistical Properties (IVSP)” method helps in precluding of revealing with the presence of statistical anomalies in the stego medium. Employing of this method will improve the visual properties of the stego-image by considering two components; Minimum Error Replacement (MER) that minimizes the embedding induced error and Improved Gray Scale Compensation (IGSC) that eliminates the false contours. An optimal test for the proposed model is done and exhibits their superiority over correcting the statistical properties of the stego-image as will as improving its visual properties. Experimental results show that the proposed technique enhances the statistical properties of the stego-image. It also, eliminates the quantization error introduced by JPEG image format. Moreover, one of the cryptographic protocols can be involved in the proposed model to enhance the security.
