Direct Adaptive Fuzzy Control of Nonlinear Systems

Abstract:
In this paper, direct adaptive fuzzy control is proposed for nonlinear systems. The controller is designed for a class of nonlinear systems with unknown nonlinear dynamics. Thus, online fuzzy adaptation scheme is proposed to handle the unmodeled dynamics, high order, and disturbances and to approximate the primary control law. The design of the auxiliary control signal is based on the sliding mode robust control technique. The stability of the control scheme is proved and simulation examples are presented to verify the effectiveness of the approach.
