Authors: Chafi Anas and Herrou Brahim and Harras Bilal and El Hammoumi Mohammed
Abstract: A model for the steady state, geometrically non-linear, periodic forced vibration of fully clamped thin rectangular composite plates under harmonic external excitation is presented. The equations of motion have been derived using spectral analysis, Lagrange’s equations, and the harmonic balance method (HBM). This forced case has been examined using a single and multimode approach. A multidimensional Duffing equation in the case of fully clamped rectangular laminated composite plates has been obtained. The behaviour of the symmetrically laminated plates on the responses to forced vibration under harmonic distributed force. Results obtained are compared with some solutions based on hierarchical finite element method. It is found that accurate results may be produced using the present model.
