Authors: AKOURMIS Sana and FAKHRI Youssef and RAHMANI MOULAY DRISS1
Abstract: Wireless sensors networks are a typical network of ad hoc network which extensively used in many potential applications including military, environment, health related areas and battle field monitoring and so forth in where human being is not always present. They collaborate to sense the same event in a geographical area. But the hostile deployment nature in which they are distributed makes them exposed to many types of attacks and a hacker node which is a special node that's part of active blackhole attack can occur in the network layer. In this paper Blackhole attack has being simulated by introducing one hacker node on AODV routing protocol in order to analyze its effect on network performance especially on end-to end Delay and packet loss. Performance is studied with and without existence of hacker node and NS2 TOOL has been used in our simulation.
Keywords: WSNs, AODV, Hacker node, Security attacks, Black hole attack, NS2.
