Title: A Multiobjective Design Optimization of Induction Machine using CAD and ANNs

Abstract: The ventilation holes in the core of the inverter driven induction motor with high power, small size and light weight, should be designed for improving cooling capacity. This paper proposes a multiobjective optimization technique based firstly on the Computer Aided Design (CAD) using finite element method in designing ventilation holes of squirrel cage induction motor, and secondly on the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) optimization. Some results are presented to demonstrate the validity of the proposed approach.
