Abstract: The majority of Information retrieval systems (IRS), operational for the time being) use simple keywords to index and search information in a document. These keywords are isolated words, most of the time reduced to a simple root or standardized with a lemmatization. In these systems, a document is indexed by a combination of these keywords neglecting the relationship between semantic words. In this article we suggest to integrate a level of semantics (terminology) in a search engine for the Arabic language. This operation is undertaken in the indexing phase using terminology dictionaries of words to find.
