Title: Practical implementation of FC based PSO for Speed Control of Brushless DC Motor

Abstract: This paper introduces a practical implementation of a fuzzy controller (FC) to improve BLDC motor performance-based particle swarm optimization (PSO). The PSO is employed for adjusting FC inputs, output membership functions. The purpose of this study is to test the proposed FC ability based PSO to adapt the rotor speed to follow a presented speed track. The objective of the proposed controller is improving Brushless DC motor (BLDC) performance by minimize (steady state error, rise time, setting time and maximum overshoot). The presented experimental results reveal that fuzzy controller based PSO gives better performance compared with the PID controller.
