| Abstract: | With the increasing widespread use of wireless technologies, Quality of service (QoS) provisioning in ad hoc networks remains a challenging task. Good scalability of the QoS architecture is necessary, as the size of the ad hoc networks is huge. In this paper, we propose a design of efficient QoS architecture for mobile ad hoc networks. It consists of i) a multi-path routing protocol, ii) A call admission control (CAC) scheme and iii) a congestion control mechanism. By simulation results, we show that this architecture allows us to provide reliable QoS in ad hoc networks, increases the available bandwidth, performs load balancing in the network and increases lifetime.
