| Abstract: | Over the years, the space based global positioning system GPS have been used to provide position, location and tracking PL&T information. While this system is useful in outdoor environments, it is not applicable in indoor situations due to inaccuracies in indoor position-fixing. Mobile Ad hoc networks MANET has been implemented in various ways to replace this system. In an approach, a target node is localized using the properties of a triangle.
This paper proposes a triangulation based PL&T scheme based on the dynamic movement of reference nodes, for improved tracking accuracy of indoor situational awareness systems. The scheme utilizes mobile reference nodes with bounded angle of arrival (AOA) of the target node at the references for optimum localization. It implements the angulation based triangulation in a way that the system constantly tracks a target node and redirects it when its movement deviates from a set of defined rules
