Title: Image Processing in Traffic Applications

Abstract: This paper presents overall information about the Unicam traffic enforcement and monitoring system based on image processing. The system uses a set of spatially distributed sensor and video acquisition units interconnected using a computer network that allows efficient data transfers and exchange of data between the functional units. The system also allows remote networked access to the data and results of the processing and allows for automated data transfer and interconnection of the subsystems to a host system. In this paper, the overall structure of the system is given and the main image processing algorithms used are roughly described.
