Title: An Image compression Scheme based on Predictive and Interpolative Absolute Moment Block Truncation Coding

Abstract: In this paper an image compression scheme based on Absolute moment block truncation coding (AMBTC) by combining prediction, bit plane omission and interpolative techniques has been proposed. Experimental results show that the proposed image compression scheme achieves a low bit rate with better picture quality and lower computational complexity than the similar schemes proposed recently.
