Abstract:
The main objective in developing a robust image watermarking technique is to obtain the highest possible robustness without losing the transparency. To achieve this objective, this paper investigates the use of non evolutionary or classical optimization technique to estimate the mixing matrix for Blind Source Separation based model of digital image watermarking . A Quasi-Newton(BFGS) algorithm is presented in this paper as a classical optimization method to estimate the mixing matrix during embedding of the watermark in host image.. The proposed digital color image watermarking system uses wavelet (DWT) domain for watermark embedding and adopting Blind Source Separation theory along with RGB decomposition to extract the watermark. Experimental results show that the proposed approach can effectively improve the quality of the watermarked image and the robustness of the embedded watermark against various attacks.
