Title: Diagnosis of Hypertension based on geometrical Parameters of retinal vascular Tree
Authors: Adel A. Sewisy
Abstract: In this paper, i present a method. This method is based on genetic algorithm. My genetic algorithm uses geometrical parameters of retinal vascular tree for diagnosing of hypertension. The skeletons of the segmented trees are produced by thinning. Three types of landmarks in the skeleton must be detected: terminal points, bifurcation and crossing points, these points are labeled and stored as a chain code. An automatic process then calculates the lengths and areas of the individual segments of the tree. Geometrical parameters are extracted from red-free fundus images of ten normotensive and ten age- and sex-matched hypertensive subjects.
